Unusual Stretcher Designs
We have a wide range of experience in building unusual stretcher designs. A sampling of some of the projects we have worked on is shown below.
We are available to consult and design on any wood frame and canvas stretching project you are involved with. Usually we can provide initial design and consultation free of charge.

This arched frame was shaped after a pattern provided to us by the customer. The painting was stretched and mounted inside an arched recess in the wall of a public building. |

A gently sloping arch was added to the top of this large rectangular stretcher. |

Because of the unusual shapes of these long and steeply arched frames, they were built as fixed strainers (not keyed). The 3-inch deep frames were used to mount five canvases, gallery-wrap style, to make up one tiled painting image. The art work was installed in a catheral ceilinged room in a private home. |

This 23' x 7' custom frame was made to fit a restaurant wall in California. |

This frame is 3" deep and the canvas is mounted on the top edge. The large 2-1/4" gap (set-back) between the canvas and the braces allows the artist to apply paint using high pressure without the brush making contact with the underlying framework. |
|
These 1-1/2" deep, 48" x 96" lightweight, fixed corner braced frames were designed to support advertising images. The frames were made so that they could be easily disassembled for shipping. |
